A collaboration with my son, Donovan, from his age of 2 - 7. We began doing drawings, paintings and junk collage. Some very exciting work, much of this work could hang strong in any contemporary gallery or museum. I started with the idea that I could teach him to draw by modeling, but instead he opened me up in dramatic ways and lead me to find directions in my work which I'd long lost touch with. he continued to draw everyday until he was 10 and then it began to drop off. Also, he began collaborating with his younger sister Gwyneth. Their collaborations were events to marvel, with rapid fire conversational exchanges that defined the scribble narratives mixed with plenty of laughter. Donovan stopped with me because I wasn't as much fun... Ha!
